Locally-Owned Carpet & Flooring Stores Near Me?
Honest
and Reputable locally-owned carpet stores are getting harder to find these days.
Over the past 20 years, a few large corporate entities have moved in and started
selling new carpet and flooring and advertising heavily. As a result, many well
established family-run flooring shops could not compete and have closed their
doors forever.
It
was about fifteen years ago, when my website visitors started asking me “which
local carpet stores do you recommend?” and “where’s
the best place to buy new carpet and flooring?”
Sadly,
with over 30 years in the business, I had already encountered so many scams in
the flooring business that my initial response was just to tell them WHERE NOT
TO BUY! That also included all the new corporately-owned retailers too.
And
that’s how my nationwide list of reputable locally-owned carpet stores got
started! It’s taken me over 15 years (so far) to compile my short list of
trusted flooring stores to recommend to my readers.
Why
so long? I am super picky about who I recommend. Maybe 1 out of every 10 carpet
stores I investigate are qualified to be on my preferred list. In some areas, I
am unable to find any locally-owned stores worth recommending.
Buying
new flooring from a reputable locally-owned store helps protect your investment,
supports your local community and provides you with the excellent customer
service you deserve. If you ever have a problem with your new carpet or
flooring, a reputable dealer will be there to answer your call and address your
problem without hesitation.
Every
dealer on my preferred list has earned a solid reputation for having quality
products, expert installation, competitive pricing and excellent customer
service before, during and after the sale.
